The cutting of lines from the Western Front factions - specifically the Honor Guard lines and the black lines for Rear Echelons - exacerbates the perception they have some sort of political agenda. The refusal to acknowledge the Germans are Nazis combined with the Enemy at The Gates version of the Soviets means the Soviets end up sounding more evil than the Germans (with exceptions).
